SURVICE Engineering Web Designer/Developer - WordPress in Belcamp, Maryland

SURVICE is seeking a Web Designer/Developer to develop and maintain WordPress websites in support of the DoD Science and technology community. The Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates. Overall, the web design/developer is responsible for maintaining website functionality and aesthetics to promote maximum DoD user interaction and collaboration.
Specific duties and responsibilities of this full-time position include:
- Writing efficient Python, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, and/or CSS code
- Creating websites/a website using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Meeting with Team members to discuss website design and function.
- Designing, building, and addressing upgrades to the website front-end.
- Creating/maintaining the website architecture.
- Researching different software programs, maintaining software documentation
- Maintaining and expanding/enhancing the web application/user interface once
- Gathering information, experience, and lessons-learned to document and increase efficiency of web application/user interface development processes.
Education and Experience requirements:
- BS Computer Science or equivalent field. Entry level 1 to 2 years experience.
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Experience with MySQL database development and integration.
- Ability to project manage.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with Azure FedRAMP cloud environments and/or ForgeRock, Version 6.5 is a plus.
Clearance requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required.
