The Retirement Analyst has responsibility for administering a variety of Health System retirement plans/programs for union and non-union employees, including defined benefit plans; defined contribution plans, and benefit related programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business/Math or related field. Requirements include general knowledge of:

  • Defined benefits/defined contribution retirement plans, regulations, procedures, practices and payroll procedures.

  • PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Three or more years of working with retirement plans. No certification is required, but any of the following are recommended:

  • RPA – Retirement Plans Associate

  • QKA – Qualified 401(k) Administrator

Must be able to analyze data and properly apply procedures to resolve issues. Must be able to read and understand Summary Plan Descriptions and use HR system, Microsoft Office (excel, Word, Access), and external systems used in retirement plan recording keeping.
