ASM Global FOH / Event Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Events/Front of House Coordinator for ASM Baltimore/The Lyric. Responsible for being a key liaison between The Lyric Foundation and its clients and is the main point of contact for all event-related matters and ensures smooth operation of events. The position is called upon to task other departments and staff elements through standard event services procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Events/Front of House Coordinator will assist the DOE with the following:

  • Oversee all event operations including event set up, staff and cleaning

  • Act as “point of contact” for each client, while ensuring proper set-up and the smooth operation of the event

  • Ascertain event requirements for physical set-up and staffing through written, telephone and/or personal contact with the client. Maintain contact with client from pre-event to post-event

  • Coordinate and communicate client’s needs in a timely manner to the appropriate internal and external departments and organizations

  • Provide client with updates and changes in cost estimates

  • Prepare and distribute “front of house” event information for each event

  • Maintaining all event files

  • Oversee operations, contractors, concessionaires, etc. to ensure event requirements are met

  • Serve as “Event Manager on Duty” as required

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required

  • Ability to operate effectively in a multiple-demand environment is essential

  • Strong customer service orientation is essential

  • Supervisory experience recommended and sales experience a plus.

  • Computer literacy: spreadsheet, MS Office, computer diagramming skills preferred

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • One year’s event management or coordination experience in a service industry field strongly preferred

Other Qualifications

Hours are event driven including some nights, weekends and holidays.
