POSITION SUMMARY:

The Core Service Specialist will ensure that the preregistration process is performed to completion. This process ensures that insurance verification, obtaining referral/authorization, obtaining precertification (when applicable), financial work-up, and documentation of notes are obtained for inpatient and outpatient services. The CSS will assist in maintaining financial records according to departmental protocol. The CSS will provide patients with educational material and physician information when required.

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift 8:30 to 5:00

Outpatient Center

EPIC certification required within 90 days.

Associate Degree required

3 years of related experience required

Works in normal office environment where there is little discomfort to due to the extremes of heat, dust, noise, temperature and the like

Pay Grade: NF
