Position Title: Director of Contracts and Commission

Overview: The Director of Contracts and Commission plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's business processes related to contracts and commissions. This position involves overseeing contract negotiations, managing commission structures for agents and brokers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:

  • Lead contract negotiation processes with clients, vendors, and partners.

  • Review, draft, and finalize contracts to ensure they align with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address contractual issues and mitigate risks.

  • Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and ensure timely renewals and amendments.

  • Commission Management:

  • Design and implement commission structures for agents, brokers, and other stakeholders.

  • Calculate and process commissions accurately and timely.

  • Develop incentive programs to motivate sales teams and achieve business objectives.

  • Monitor commission payments and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes impacting contract management and commission structures in the insurance industry.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing insurance contracts and commissions.

  • Conduct audits to assess compliance with contractual obligations and commission payment accuracy.

  • Implement policies and procedures to enhance compliance and mitigate risks.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align contract terms with business goals and financial objectives.

  • Work closely with IT teams to leverage technology solutions for contract management and commission processing.

  • Provide guidance and support to agents, brokers, and other stakeholders regarding contract and commission-related inquiries.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in contract management, commission administration, or a related field within the insurance industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and industry practices.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contracts and commission structures.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with insurance distribution software.

  • Experience in Oracle ERP a plus.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
