Jabil is seeking a Data Systems Engineer to work in its Auburn Hills, MI location. As the Production and Data Systems subject matter expert, you will be responsible for developing and supporting production and data management systems including, but not limited to, the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), manufacturing systems (Java script), databases (SQL, Access, etc.) and ERP (SAP) for the site. The qualified candidate will also provide recommendations for the development of new information systems and/or modifications of existing systems to meet current and projected business needs and will lead Computer System Validation for the Quality department. This position is 100% onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. Competitive salary and benefits! DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that the sites change management tools, systems, and processes comply with regulatory requirements, support customer-specific requirements, allow for efficient translation of various types of customer documentation into usable Jabil formats, and further improve overall production and data management systems for the site. Supervise the Configuration Management and Software Applications teams. Provide meaningful and timely feedback on employees performance, including completing and conducting annual performance appraisals. Ensure the accuracy of critical data within the business system (Valor, JPS, AML, SAP, MES, etc.). Lead systemic changes to Configuration Management and Quality processes with the use of project management methods and tools. Participate in new customer launches by determining how to integrate customer requirements/systems with Jabil systems (Valor, JPS, AML, SAP, MES, SharePoint, file transfer protocols, etc.) Present information relative to site capabilities to customers, auditors, and other interested parties. Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Software Engineering or similar related discipline OR an Associate Engineer degree preferred. At least 4 years of systems engineering experience or related experience is required. Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR Part 820) and Computer System Validation Strong knowledge in Javascript, SQL databases, Access databases, SAP Knowledge and experience of programming in C#, Visual Basic (VB), HTML Ability to manage high-stress situations, changing priorities, and multiple demands. Understanding of complex and advanced programming concepts Strong communication and customer service skills Analytical, interpretive, and advanced problem-solving skills (root cause analysis) Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
