Description

We are on the hunt for a dedicated Plant Controller in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be working in the Manufacturing. This role is integral to our operations as it involves critical decision-making processes that directly impact the financial health of our Plant.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial operations of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.

• Oversee all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.

• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process.

• Support month-end and year-end close process.

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

• Liaise with the executive management team to make informed financial decisions.

• Utilize 'Month End Close' skills to ensure all financial data is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

  Requirements

• Proven experience in a Plant Controller role or similar for a minimum of five years

• Proficiency in month-end close processes is essential

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, an advanced degree is a plus

• Strong analytical, strategic planning and execution skills to drive organizational change

• Demonstrated knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proficiency in the use of financial management software and advanced knowledge of Excel

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of an organization

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines

• Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections

• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems is a plus

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
