Role Overview:
We’re looking for a dynamic Controller to join our Global Finance Team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial matters. This position plays a critical role in managing financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and internal controls to support strategic decision-making and ensure financial stability.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and reports
Oversee month-end close process, account reconciliations and accounting entries and adjustments
Present financial reports to Leadership and other stakeholders as necessary
- Budgeting & Forecasting
Collaborate with functional leaders to develop and manage the annual budget and reforecasting process
Monitor financial performance vs budget, analyze variances and provide insights & recommendations to management
- Cash Management
Manage cash flow and liquidity by forecasting cash needs and optimizing cash resources
Monitor banking activities and maintain relationships with financial institutions
- Internal Controls and Compliance
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Conduct periodic audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements as needed
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and support
- Tax Compliance
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filing requirements.
Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize tax planning strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
- Team Leadership and Development
Manage and mentor global accounting team, including billing, collections and accounts payable
Provide guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.
Foster an inclusive culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team
Qualifications
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, public accounting experience preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Strong understand of SAAS required, Media and Services preferred
Proficiency in excel, accounting software and financial management systems
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
