Partner with the cross functional teams to drive profitable growth, optimize return on capital, initiate strategic initiatives, identify and implement cost efficiencies, provide financial analysis and support for marketing campaigns and pricing requests, at multiple levels including on a new account, existing account, and product level basis for a $20B Sales / $7B Asset private label credit card portfolio.

  • Provide insight, understanding, and recommendations to improve profitability efforts across new accounts, existing accounts, products and promotions.

  • Engage with the Partner and provide supporting analysis to gain agreement on annual contractual changes to promotional pricing, cost of funds, sales royalties, bounties and penalty thresholds.

  • Meet with the Partner for financial reviews, Plan projections, growth strategy, expense deep dives…

  • Perform month-end close in support of the Accounting department to ensure accuracy of Partner related payments, accruals, and reserves.

  • Participate in the department’s Business Control efforts, audit requests and monthly Operational Risk Event process and reporting.

  • Interact with the management team and other departments to formulate analytics including Partner Management, Risk, Marketing, and Decision Management.

  • Drive profitable growth strategies and Return on Capital optimization, investment opportunities, and marketing campaigns.

  • Lead expense initiatives like headcount billing to the Partner, accuracy of expense billing to the Partner across functions, marketing invoice and accrual process, and intangible valuation in support of amortization schedule.

  • Support cross-CRS functions with financial needs – i.e. Channel Optimization, Centralized Marketing, Risk initiatives.

  • Other ad-hoc financial analysis needed to support the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA strongly preferred.

  • 7+ years of financial analysis experience. Credit card experience preferred.

  • Developed analytical and cognitive skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, intense environment.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration ability.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
