Job Description:
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with the know how to build a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities as they develop cloud-based solutions for some of Department of Defenses toughest data analytics challenges. Using the latest cloud and vendor technologies, our cloud engineers create and evolve a highly visible data analytics platform across all networks. They lead efforts to incorporate open-source tools, automation, cloud resources, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) to cut down on tedious, boring tasks and free up time to do what they do best innovate.
Job Responsibilities:
The Mid-Level Cloud Engineer has the technical expertise to inform strategy and design, ensuring standards are met throughout the cloud evolution process and when working with other teams, this role drives success by recommending tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and their knowledge of various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. Leadership and skill development opportunities abound while helping clients overcome their most difficult challenges and continuously broadening expertise in areas like agile development, cloud-based development, containerization and serverless while providing data analytics capabilities that will improve national security. In addition, as a technical engineer, this role identifies new opportunities to build state-of-the-art data analytics and immutable architectures helping customers meet their toughest challenges. This role works without considerable direction and may mentor and supervise team members.
Job Requirements:
Someone with a solid background developing solutions for high volume, low latency applications and can operate in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.

5-8 years of direct experience with building computer architectures in the cloud environment
Experience with developing and deploying applications in the cloud
Experience with Serverless, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and SAM
Experience with securing and hardening operating systems, applications, and containers
Experience with application management and providing high availability and resilient solutions using methods, including
clustering or failover
Experience with scripting in scripting languages that include Python and Ruby
Experience with an Agile release methodology
TS / SCI with CI Poly security clearance
BA or BS degree +5 years experience
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with data analytics, big data, and cloud-native technologies
Experience with application performance analysis and monitoring
Knowledge of information assurance compliance to specified standards
MA or MS degree + 3 years experience
Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
