Position Statement

Hilton is seeking an experienced Director of Sales, Leisure to manage a portfolio of Leisure Group accounts located in France, Benelux, Italy and French speaking Switzerland. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing accounts to drive revenue and market share growth for our 7500 properties while contributing to the account portfolio growth for Hilton. We will depend on you to build strategic partnerships and enhance our Leisure presence throughout your region.

As the Director of Sales Leisure, you will be committed to overseeing a portfolio of accounts focused on leisure transient and group business. This includes account qualification and compliance to account governance protocols. You will ensure the client’s day-to-day needs are met while identifying viable opportunities for deliberate initiatives designed to improve operational and financial performance. You will need to have a deep knowledge of customer procurement strategies, structure, and businesses in alignment with all stakeholders within Hilton.

In addition, you will have one direct report – Account Director, Sports to manage and support.

Position Summary

• Develop through experience or prospection a Leisure account portfolio with clients from France, Benelux, Italy and French speaking Switzerland

• Manage a Leisure account portfolio from France, Benelux, Italy and French speaking Switzerland

• Establish Hilton Leisure / Resort hotels awareness and loyalty in market by directly selling to Leisure Transient & Group partners.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.

• Build a strong network of Leisure Transient & Group customers in the region and drive revenue from these accounts to properties in need of Leisure.

• Represent Hilton at industry trade shows, special industry events, roadshows, and other activities to elevate customer awareness of Hilton to drive segment growth.

• Anticipate client and hotels needs and actively develop an approach that is tailored to each customer.

• Actively plan and manage Leisure curated client event(s) within your assigned geographic area of deployment. Ensure hotel partners receive maximum exposure to qualified clients.

• Identify emerging trends, customer preferences and competitive positioning to form sales strategies.

• Engage in relevant industry organizations.

• Generate leads and develop opportunities within existing accounts to drive incremental revenue. Identify and form positive partnerships with key decision makers and influencers.

• Build positive internal and external relationships to influence people.

Required Qualifications

• Experienced within the Leisure market of the region’s scope with well-established relationships already in place

• Extensive professional experience in hospitality/Tourism, with Leisure segment experience a requirement

• Highly collaborative mindset with ability to positively add value to engagement, internally and externally

• Excellent communication skills: presentations, written and public speaking.

• Ability to direct collaboration among cross-functional teams including external resources.

• Leads by example to resolve conflicts, introduce change, and ensure collaboration among others.

• Demonstrates the highest standards of ethical behaviour and absolute discretion with sensitive information.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to adjust plans and priorities as situations change.

• Prioritizes, organises, and uses a systematic approach to get things done.

• Ability to think and articulate a vision for business sales and capable of translating this into practical and tangible actions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• Strong negotiation skills to maximize value for internal and external partners

• Fluency in English and either French or Italian is essential
