The Area Manager, Distribution is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and hands-on involvement. They will plan and execute daily activities to ensure internal and external customer demands are met. They will drive continuous improvement across key indicators by using problem-solving and Lean tools. They will measure and give feedback to associates to ensure the team has the right talent.

This position is part of the Distribution department located in Ames, Iowa, and will be on-site. This position will primarily be working on 1st shift.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Supervising activities of workers engaged in receiving, warehousing, inventory, and shipping.

• Ensuring achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness of distribution objectives.

• Address and resolve issues related to shipping, transportation, or customer concerns.

• Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect associates and comply with regulatory requirements.

• Ensure accuracy of inventory records and minimize discrepancies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 3 or more years of leadership experience

• Reduce inventory financial risk and obtain audit-ready status by maintaining cycle count program and driving continuous improvement on inventory accuracy.

• Responsible for creating and executing data-driven action plans to improve standard work and performance.

• Supervisory responsibility includes approximately 25 hourly direct reports.

• Ensure all associates are knowledgeable of, and comply with, all company policies.

• The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $93,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

• This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

The compensation range for this role is $85,000.00 - $93,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
