This position prepares or directs the preparation of 2D column model, detailed Assembly drawings for manufacturing shop, and detailed drawings and 2D model files for our proprietary distillation internals manufactured by Air Products by using specifications, standards, and other instructions/feedback.Additionally, setting plans or other similar drawings may be prepared for our Mechanical Engineering Department for purchase from 3rd party manufacturers.

This role proactively collaborates with internal AP teams (local and abroad) and external third-parties to support equipment and labor estimates for proposals/bidding activities as well as to meet project commitments, costs, and schedules for product development, project execution and R&D efforts.

Required Skills / Abilities:

*Minimum 15 years relevant experience required *Strong written and verbal communication skills required *Strong spatial perception and mechanical reasoning skills required *Experience with manufacturing design and fabrication drawings required *Experience with design of pressure vessels or large, industrial scale equipment preferred *Familiarity with manufacturing techniques such as cutting, machining, bending, welding, bolting, riveting required *Proficiency with MicroStation (preferred), AutoCAD, or other CAD software.

Education and Licensing Requirements:

*Degree or Certificate in Drafting / CAD Design preferred
