Role Summary:

This role supports all testing activities regarding data acquisitions & analysis, network and application support as well as all IT administration tasks. This position collaborates to configure and install data logging systems for data acquisition and ensures data quality on a daily basis. Supports all relevant application developments and custom reporting along the development cycle

Role Responsibilities:

Application support and Administration - 25% of time

  • Data acquisition application support
  • SharePoint site administration
  • User access administration

Application Development support – 25% of time

  • Develop and document existing data acquisition applications
  • SharePoint Client application development and documentation
  • Server service application development and documentation

Data Acquisition – 25% of time

  • Configure and install vehicle data logging systems for 60-100 vehicles
  • Ensure data quality with daily monitoring
  • Data recording hardware inventory administration 

Data Analysis – 25% of time

  • Provide technical data and data analysis on reported VW, Audi and VW Group test vehicles, parts and components in order to determine the root cause of quality and design issues, validate driver complains and provide a full technical understanding regarding costumer/driver complaints to support the development countermeasures
  • Generate reports to ensure and monitor the quality of NARTF operations
  • Weekly fleet operation report
  • Fault report
  • OBD ratio report
  • Drive profile report
  • End of shift report
  • Manage all custom SQL reporting services


Qualifications



Qualifications:

Years of Experience:

  • 4 -7 years’ experience in Data Acquisition, Application Development & Application Support

Education – Required:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in automotive, computer science, statistics or other related scientific fields
  • A+ Certification

Education – Desired:

  • Master degree in automotive, computer science, statistics or other related scientific fields
  • Microsoft Developer Certification
  • Microsoft Administrator Certification

Skills:

  • SharePoint Site Administration
  • Data acquisition Application Administration
  • Good Knowledge of Network Protocols
  • Automotive background
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively and remotely with others
  • Integration – joining people, processes or systems
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Specialized Skills – Required:

  • Excellence in C#, SQL and other Database Systems
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience of data acquisition and storage concepts
  • Experience in initiating, managing projects with management and engineers
  • Strong knowledge of statistical data analysis  (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, time series)

Specialized Skills – Desired:

  • Develop new processes and tools to monitor, analyze data accuracy and data reporting
  • Background in data mining and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of Audi, VW, Porsche and Bentley vehicles & technical systems

Work Flexibility:

  • Business trips to various U.S. locations
  • Flexibility to work longer days and weekends on occasion
