Perry's Ice Cream Line Haul Driver in Akron, New York
Overview
The typical work schedule isSunday through Thursday.
Pay Range:
$23-$28 per hour
About the Role:
As a core member of our transportation team, you will be expected to:
Work independently to line haul products primarily to to Erie, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Syracuse, NY; Elmira, NY; Toledo,OH; Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH; or Cleveland, OH.
Work with dynamic teams, including: delivery drivers, line haul assistants, and warehouse teams.
Typically work Sunday thru Thursday evenings leaving approximately between 4pm & 8pm. This may include working on the evening of some holidays. Some locations require leaving earlier in the day.
Flexibility to travel overnight for some locations.
Work as part of a team with a line haul assistant transfer product to distribution truck.

What We’re Looking For:
Valid Class A License with clean driving record;
Physical ability to consistently and repetitively: lift & carry up to 75 lbs., bend, twist, climb, push & pull a store dolly with up to 500 lbs. of product, and ability to work in a cold environment of -10º to -20ºF;
Maintain cleanliness of truck and truck cab;
Flexibility to work irregular schedule, including holidays and weekends, if needed;
Ability to stay overnight in a sleeper cab;
Accountability to exercise safe behavior;
Commitment to work as part of a team;
Good written, verbal, communication, & map reading skills .
