About the Job:
As t he Seed Sales Representative, you will be responsible for offering a full line of seed to our customers. We are looking for a motivated candidate with industry experience to use their skills to establish and grow a loyal customer base and prospects through proactive customer service and business development.
This is a salaried position with full-time hours and reports directly to the Vice President of Fertilizer Services. Local travel is required as needed.
Responsibilities
Build, establish, and maintain a customer base for the assigned territory
Provide sales support to existing customers and solicits new customers
Create and deliver sales presentations, both independently and as part of a team
Sell company products and services in accordance with established sales targets
Proactively identified customer needs and potential solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations, including contacting program sales and identifying spot business trading
Collaborate with staff to expedite sales commitments, assisting with customer pricing in accordance with company policies and procedures
Implement department sales goals and develop strategies, programs, plans, or services to ensure successful completion of goals are achieved
Responsible for entering sales forecasts in computerized files in a timely manner and evaluating the results to advise staff of sales status and potential problems
Manage assigned deals, key accounts in accordance with establish stands and practice
Efficiently manage workload and prioritize tasks, with accountability for the quality and timeliness of work
Attend scheduled training, as requested
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, Ag Economics, or a related field is required
Minimum of 3 years' experience in Agronomy Sales, including experience with seed sales.
Commercial Pesticide Applicator License required, or the ability to obtain in a designated time frame
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements required, or ability to obtain within a designated time frame
Ability to professionally interact and collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written
Ability to problem solve and determine alternative solutions when necessary, allowing for prompt completion of work
