LEGGETT & PLATT COMPONENTS CO INC Truck Driver in Statesville, North Carolina
We are currently recruiting for an able and available Truck Driver at Leggett and Platt's Sacckner branch in Statesville, NC. The job consists of making deliveries to local customers in and around the Catawba Valley area. Hours are normally 7:00 m - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
The primary duties of the employee are (but not limited to) the following: 1. Operate truck following all DOT and Company regulations. 2. Load trucks when necessary. 3. Pick up empty skids from customers. 4. Pick up RA's (Return Authorizations) from customers. 5. Responsible for keeping truck fueled, cleaned and in road-worthy operating condition. 6. Responsible for keeping up with truck mileage. 7. Responsible for driving safely and efficiently. 8. Driver must conduct himself in a business manner whether on the road or making a delivery. 9. Driver is responsible for all required DOT tests including Physical exams and Breath/Alcohol testing. 10. Perform various Shipping and Receiving duties, including operating a fork lift, when not making deliveries. 11. Follow all established safety and recycling procedures.
Qualifications:
- Be able to utilize and operate equipment associated with material handling.
- Must have and retain CDL License. Class B required. Class A preferred.
- Have excellent driving record.
- Have minimum oftwo years of driving experience.
- Operate motorizedmaterial handling equipment(including Fork lift trucks). Must pass the requirements for forklift license.
- Have knowledge of record keeping, receivers, electronic logs, etc.
- Identify and understand procedures involving non-conforming product.
Starting pay from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on type CDL and level of experience.$750 retention bonus paid after 90 days of full-time employment.
