Splunk, Inc. in Seattle, WA has an opening for Software Engineer (S984): Working independently, design & develop software applications or systems. Develop and own moderately complex features or sub-systems and begin to drive the completion of features or sub-system designs. Spend most of the time developing code, and efficiently produce elegant, clean and re-usable code. Focus on subsystem reusability, modularity, and scaling as part of the design. Participate in design discussions, propose and discuss solutions to system and product changes and actively participate in code reviews. Break down challenging tasks and estimate sprint sized software deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or a software engineering-related occupation. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent and 2 years of work experience, will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field. Special Skills: Educational or experience background must include: 1) Gitlab's CI/CD systems; 2) Agile software development lifecycle; 3) Identity standards like OIDC, OAuth, and SAML; 4) GoLang code language; 5) Managing and deploying AWS and GCP based-micro-services using Terraform or equivalent.
