Description:

Actalent Services is looking for an experienced software engineer to work for one of our Medical Device clients. This software engineer will be working on an electronic product to treat peripheral and heart valve diseases. You will be responsible for improving and expanding the current low-level embedded code base for the product's drivers and processors. This employee should be able to develop microcontrollers and communication protocols on a bare metal system. We are also looking for experience with reading electrical schematics for high-voltage systems or pulse discharge systems to further the development of this project. Software validation and verification will also be needed to help achieve prompt product release.

Skills:

• Experience with embedded C programming for low-level driver development or microcontrollers

• 5+ years experience with Embedded Systems

• Must have high-voltage experience and examples of working on high-voltage products

• Experience working in a regulated environment like medical device or aerospace

• Experience with Bare Metal or RTOS

• Experience reading Electrical Schematics for code implementation

• Experience with Jira

• Experience with interface protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART

Nice to have:

• Renesas Processor experience, software validation/verification, and experience with developing in C#

• Experience with lasers and high-voltage pulse discharge control systems is a plus.
