We are opening a unique employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in the healthcare industry! The role is based in San Francisco, California, and it offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized medical records in accordance with legal requirements and healthcare facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and compiling patient information from various sources including physicians, nurses, and labs.

• Filing, organizing, and maintaining medical records, ensuring proper labeling and indexing.

• Retrieving medical records for authorized personnel upon request.

• Updating existing records with new information, test results, diagnoses, and treatments.

• Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records.

• Adhering to healthcare regulations and facility protocols regarding medical records.

• Performing data entry, scanning, and basic coding tasks related to medical records.

• Responding to inquiries from healthcare providers, patients, and third parties regarding medical records.

• Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies for the medical records department.

• Utilizing skills in EHR System, Microsoft Excel, Charts - Graphs, Clinical Trial Operations, Compliance, Confidentiality, Data Entry, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), Medical Records, Medical Records Analysis, and Patient Medical Records.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare or NHS industry.

• Proficiency in using EHR (Electronic Health Records) System and EMR (Electronic Medical Records).

• Experience in Clinical Trial Operations is necessary.

• Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Excel, including the creation of charts and graphs.

• Familiarity with medical records, including analysis, review, and management within a medical records department.

• Proven experience in data entry tasks with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Knowledge of compliance regulations within the healthcare sector.

• Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling patient medical records.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• High level of professionalism and adherence to workplace policies and procedures.
