Backend Software Engineer

Hybrid / Provo, Utah

$120-140K/year

We are looking for a talented, dynamic Mid to Sr. level Software Engineer with extensive experience creating forward-facing shopping websites; a successful candidate will bring a track record of constantly innovating and maintaining a broad knowledge of development principles, industry trends, and emerging technologies. As a key member, he/she will help architect, implement, test, optimize and maintain domestic and international APIs and applications. We hope to find exceptional people to do exceptional work.

  • Ability to evaluate, select and integrate technology from open-source, home-built and commercial sources to deliver a total, elegant solution

  • Proficiency in Restful APIs, PHP and Node.js

  • Expertise/experience with AWS technologies - Lambda, Kinesis, EC2 and RDS

  • Understanding and experience with Docker, TravisCI and unit testing.

  • Implementing and consuming cross platform Web Services like JSON/REST and XML/SOAP

  • Strong background in Linux and Apache.

  • Strong understanding in database technologies - MySql, PostgreSQL and MSSQL.

  • Willingness to standardize code and architecture

  • Ability to collaborate with designers and product managers to define product specifications.
