Crew Lead

Pay Range: \$16.00-\$19.50 an hour

Summary of Job:

Ability to perform a variety of skilled tasks in the landscaping maintenance of properties. Ability to operate and transport co-workers and equipment to and from the property. Must be able to operate a variety of power-driven equipment when assigned; performs related duties as required.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrate leadership and professional landscape skills
• Transportation of co-workers to and from maintenance yard to properties
• Transportation of equipment to and from maintenance yard to properties
• Coordinate crew activities (typically 1-3 crew members)
• Knowledge and proper use of power and hand tools
• Knowledge and proper use of lawn mowing and edging equipment
• Operate power mowers, chainsaws, pole pruners, blowers, weed eaters, chippers, other equipment and vehicles
• Maintain adherence to all OSHA standards
• Perform skilled to unskilled maintenance work involving strenuous tasks often under adverse climatic conditions

Job Skills/Requirements:

• Operate a utility cart
• Operate small pieces of equipment (i.e. weed eater, blower, power, hand tools, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret basic property maps
• Arizona Driver License and clean MVR record
• Basic English
• Equipment operation
• Able to direct others

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and or pushed)
• Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties
• Able to work under extreme and often adverse climatic conditions
• Contact with various plants and collected debris
