Job Title: Senior Shipping Coordinator - 12 Month FTC

Salary/Grade: £29k - £44k

Location : Peterborough

Benefits:

About IPSD

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L Cat® and Perkins engines that power over 5000 applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. The Opportunity:

This role sits within the logistics and shipping team and will be a key player is a variety of aspects of shipping products and materials including - receiving, verifying, and processing shipments.

What You Will Do:

• Arrange for adjustments or replacements for lost or damaged merchandise.

• Keep records for incoming shipments and products; checking the quantity, quality and basic condition of contents to ensure alignment with original order.

• Move shipments to the proper departments and maintaining records for reference.

• Prepare invoices, shipping documents and mailing labels; keeping records of all shipments.

Import/Export - MFG: Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Assists in the export process; ensures compliance with U.S. regulations for a specific country.

• Uses locally relevant tariff schedules.

• Completes all required import or export documentation for repetitive transactions.

Transportation - MFG: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers.

Level Working Knowledge:

• Participates in arranging transportation of goods.

• Ensures on time shipments; anticipates and resolves shipping problems.

• Works with at least one type of transportation mode and carrier.

Other top candidates may have :

• The ability to ensure compliance of SOX regulations when arranging the collections and completion of Transwide booking entry and checking all details are accurate for both internal provisions and external use.

• Experience complying with established regulatory procedures, i.e incoterms and SOX
