Our Government Services division is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work as part of a team for the implementation of a key naval Defence project based in Garden Island. Your role will provide systems engineering knowledge and expertise in support of acquisition of key Defence capabilities. In a team environment, you will be responsible for taking a lead role in system engineering discussions and providing technical support. To be successful in this role, you must have experience with Defence industry and/or working directly with the Australian Department of Defence in an acquisition or sustainment project environment. The role is based in Sydney at a Defence establishment.
Delivering the System Engineering (Electrical) outputs and activities
Conducting regular reviews of the Design Intent
Monitoring the material condition of the systems and equipment
Collating and analysing data to determine the health of the System, as defined by the system boundary
Providing input into the Systems Analysis Report (SAR)
Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for mechanical engineering matters as required
Delivering engineering solutions to solve equipment obsolescence problems
Assisting with the conduct of Technical Investigations and the development of reports
Assisting with reviewing engineering design tasks for replacement of marine equipment and conduct technical Design Reviews
Degree, or equivalent, qualification in a recognised Engineering related discipline
Eligible for membership of a recognised professional body and registration as Chartered Engineering
Demonstrated experience in a Defence acquisition project qualified to Level 4
Experience in the application within a naval environment of Classification Rules and Naval Technical Regulatory Framework
Australian Citizenship with current or previous AGSVA Security Clearance at NV1
