Laboratory Supervisor - Clinical Laboratory Services
Northridge Hospital Medical Center
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Laboratory Supervisor to oversee our clinical laboratory operations. The Laboratory Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services to support patient care within our hospital.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the daily operations of the hospital laboratory, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
Oversee a team of laboratory technologists and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and hospital policies and procedures.
Monitor quality control measures and participate in proficiency testing to maintain accurate and reliable laboratory results.
Coordinate with other departments, physicians, and nursing staff to prioritize and fulfill laboratory testing requests in a timely manner.
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee equipment maintenance and calibration.
Implement and maintain laboratory information systems (LIS) to streamline laboratory processes and data management.
Participate in the development and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
Serve as a resource for laboratory staff, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Laboratory Services experience in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
Bachelor's degree or coursework equivalent to meet CLIA requirements.
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or equivalent required.
Additional state licensure as needed is required
Fire Safety Card required. (must obtain within 90 days of start date.)
Pay Range
$49.10 - $71.19 /hour
