Licensed Stationary Engineer - Facilities Management

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Stationary Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. The Licensed Stationary Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical utility systems that are essential for the smooth functioning of our hospital. Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and other utility equipment to ensure reliable performance.

  • Monitor and adjust control systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions within the hospital.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.

  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Facilities Management team to coordinate maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.

  • Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent maintenance issues.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must have L.A. City Steam Engineer license of 500 H.P. or greater.

  • Minimum of two (2) years plant operations experience and one (1) year in a healthcare setting.

  • Operate steam boilers chillers and auxiliary plant equipment.

  • Fire Safety card required within 90 days of employment.

This position is covered by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range

$39.53 - $49.70 /hour
