Housekeeper - Envrironmental Services

Northridge Hospital Medical Center

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in our healthcare facility which is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients staff and visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms common areas and other areas of the facility

  • Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures

  • Collect and dispose of waste biohazardous waste and linens

  • Stock and maintain supplied in patient rooms and common areas

  • Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff

  • You may operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or GED education.

  • Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions.

  • Able to read and write use simple arithmetic keeps simple records or use simple office machines.

  • Minimum 6 months janitorial experience in Healthcare or Nursing Home preferred.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must maintain current Fire Safety card.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay Range

$21.00 - $ 23.90 /hour
