Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY

Continually evaluates and assesses key financial performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, independently. Supports complex revenue cycle initiatives through the extraction and analysis of data impacting the hospital and provider revenue cycles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with others within the organization to ensure efficient and effective processes for optimal revenue cycle outcomes.

• Evaluates and assesses financial indicators and provides recommendations resulting in improved performance.

• Develops and presents recommendations on revenue cycle data and improvements to leadership. Often provides project management for projects relating to revenue cycle improvements.

• Analyzes operational data/trends as well as national benchmarks to gauge organizational performance and makes recommendations for improvement.

• Provides complex analyses on highly confidential revenue cycle projects.

• Mentors analysts on team.

• Revenue Cycle (Advanced): Knowledge of the financial process to track patient care from registration and scheduling to the final payment of a balance.

• Problem Solving (Advanced): Uses critical thinking and process improvement i.e. coaches and mentors development of problem statement, describes current state, identifies root causes, creates future state, coaches and mentors development of solutions and action plans with a sustainability plan. Applies appropriate tools to address issues.
