You'll find that this is place where you can do your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: Analyze trends in Workforce, SG&A and other areas of business Monthly reporting and variance analysis Support quarterly earnings release Q&A, Board of Directors, and Investor Conference reporting Collaborate with segment finance to understand and demonstrate complex concepts in ways that lead to understanding by a variety of audiences Relationship management with segment finance contacts Analyze and report on financials and partner with senior leaders to collaboratively manage budgets Present findings and recommendations to management Develops innovative approaches Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 2+ years of finance or accounting experience Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (experience with pivot tables, database / logic formulas, etc.) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications: Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft experience Healthcare business segment experience Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and operational issues, assessing implications, and developing and implementing appropriate action plans Experience with process reengineering Experience with process controls Ability to work collaboratively and the ability to influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives Executive presence, communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders Exceptional financial acumen and P&L management skills Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
