Primary Responsibilities:

• Partners with business leaders to scope, create and execute business analytics using the appropriate data aggregation and visualization tools

• Creates backlog and prioritization methodology for analytics requests

• Evaluates existing tools and processes to create a long-term strategy for sustainable analytics in a scaled business, offering ease and efficiency of data visualization, and transfer for business users

• Creates repeatable processes that are easily replicated by multiple team members

• Leads documentation of analytics processes and procedures to support training and business continuity

• Leads data governance efforts

• Influence without authority; interpret analyses for business leaders and equips them with the knowledge to make data-driven decisions

• Cultivating Team Engagement: be responsible for creating and maintaining a high level of engagement with team members and others. Managers must decide what path to follow, what tasks need to be done and by whom, how progress is going to be measured, what resources are needed and what contingency plans to put in place if something goes wrong

• Fostering Innovation : adapt and innovate in response to changes in customer sentiment and conditions surrounding the team. Creating the conditions to be restless, stay curious and foster innovation requires that managers listen without judgement and employees stay open to change and are willing to explore new ideas and possibilities

• Acquiring, Assessing and Deploying Talent : responsible for sourcing, screening, hiring, on-boarding, orientation, deploying, training, developing, and terminating employment when that is called for

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics

• 1+ years of management experience

• Experience in the healthcare industry; the ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the relationships among pharmaceutical companies, PBMs, pharmacy providers, health plans, and medical providers

• Advanced SQL and understanding of relational databases

• Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel

• Proven track record of possessing an action-oriented, issue-resolution mindset

• Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems and work in the face of ambiguity

• Demonstrated ability to work with internal customers to define business problems and proposes analytics or solutions to solve or address those needs

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in relevant field

• Experience with pharmacy or medical claims information

• Experience with Tableau Desktop skills

• Experience with R, Python, Github, etc

• Experience engaging with and influencing senior executives

• Familiarity with data engineering

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
