UCLA Health Credentialed Trainer - Ambulatory Specialties in Los Angeles, California

Description

The Credentialed Trainer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and delivery of clinical application training classes, systems, tools, and documentation. The Credentialed Trainer will be primarily responsible to support and train the following applications, Ambulatory, Provider, Kaleidoscope, with additional application responsibility after gaining 3rd credentials.

In this role, you will:

  • provide ongoing skills training, customer service, and support to clinical users through knowledge of clinical processes and practice standards

  • be responsible for 1st level computer troubleshooting and maintenance in the classroom environment

  • work with business units, clinical applications teams, and technology support teams to determine training needs and to develop appropriate training programs, acquire necessary technology, and to apply appropriate learning approaches accordingly

  • support ongoing optimization efforts through activities that may include, but is are not limited to, rounding, mobile skills labs, fairs, and webinars

  • be required to reach Epic Credentialing and gain Epic Proficiency

This role is a hybrid remote role which will require you to be on site at least 20% of the time, within 3 standard hours of being notified to be on site, or as required by operational need. There are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location.

Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination.

Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $31.03 - $65.90 hourly.

Qualifications

*Pass a credentialing test with a minimum score of 85% which requires presenting an Epic lesson to a panel that includes the Principal trainer and a representative from the CareConnect project team (continued employment will be dependent upon credentialing status)

*Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills.

*Demonstrated ability to effectively teach using a variety of learning styles.

*Positive interpersonal skills including the ability to build rapport easily.

*Proficiency with information systems technology including Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, email, intranet and other systems.

*Adult education and classroom teaching experience highly desired.

*Working knowledge of adult learning theory and/or training approaches and best practices.

*Strong understanding of relevant department workflows or ability to learn about workflows.

*Extensive knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional systems design, and other training methodology/concepts.

*Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport easily.

*Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to convey technical information to all levels of application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.

*Strong writing ability.

*Ability to work in small groups under tight project deadlines

*Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience
