This Service Center Site Leader is responsible for the performance of a team of Field Service Technicians, and for business growth at a new service center for the Life Science Solutions Diversified Laboratory Repair (DLR) team.

Where is the work:

This position is remote within a geography: Philadelphia, PA

What you will do:

  • Grow a new service center location by building and leading a team of Field Service Technicians in the performance of their duties, including technical skills and customer service.

  • Focus on priority customers, identify their needs, and win new business.

  • Perform duties of a Field Service Technician as needed which include:

  • Performance of service, installation, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on all types of laboratory equipment.

  • Test components, check for leaks, operate, and read gauges, read wiring diagrams, diagnose electrical and mechanical defects, reclaim refrigerant and perform mechanical repairs.

  • Complete paperwork to accurately describe services performed in accordance with customer and business requirements.

  • Partner with Technical Services, Quality, Customer Service, Invoicing, Contract Management, and Sales to ensure customers have an optimal experience and work to resolve any escalated customer inquiries. Coordinate with DLR HQ team as needed to ensure policies, SOPs, and regulations are adhered to.

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrates a desire to understand the Life Sciences industry and connect current and potential customers with full-service offerings for their laboratory equipment.

  • 5 years in technical services with experience in cold storage, refrigeration equipment, process equipment, or laboratory services in the Life Sciences market space.

  • Ability to facilitate customer conversations with business level insights to establish value and create demand, close new business, and grow existing account relationships.

  • Leadership experience is a plus

  • Physical Requirements include but aren’t limited to: bending, climbing, pulling, pushing, lifting up to 50lbs, visual inspections, working in extreme temperatures and around hazards.

Compensation:

Total Target Compensation: This role will compensate hourly with a target rate of $40-50/hour and have overtime potential.
