Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Clinical Nursing Informatics (RN) PRN for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Support of facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the EHR and other clinical informatics initiatives

• Audits and prepares reports of the electronic health record using tools for data collection and reporting of CPOE, PDOC, and other EHR project

• Assesses impact on clinical workflow and facilitate workflow redesign to gain maximum benefit of new technology

• Collaborate with the Director Clinical Informatics, Service Line Directors, and front-line staff on clinical quality initiatives to advance the Clinical Excellence scorecard.

• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with the entire project team, clinical leaders, business leaders, IT&S leaders, and staff.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree required, clinical degree preferred with strong healthcare facility experience. Master Degree preferred ideally with focus on Health Informatics

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting

• Previous experience involving the focused review/follow up of clinical documentation with special emphasis on evaluating diagnosis/severity related information is preferred

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Clinical/Healthcare Informatics, clinical applications support, or equivalent preferred

• Meditech experience strongly preferred

• Must have previous experience facilitating large projects which includes implementation of health technology

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) required, Health Informatics Certification encouraged
