Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Summary:

Preparation, set-up, and production of all menu items for consumption in accordance with club recipes and standards while maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area at all times by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepares food items according to BFG&CC recipes.
  • Possess strong knife handling skills.
  • Identifies and prepares menu items to include, but not limited to, cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game, cereals, grains, tubers, fruits, and vegetables for cooking.
  • Prepares soups, sauces, salad dressings, cold sauces, dips, and garnishments.
  • Prepares foods by methods of frying, sautéing, broiling, roasting, braising, poaching, steaming, baking, stir-frying, simmering, boiling, and other means.
  • Sets up, maintains, and breaks down cook stations.
  • Responsible in maintaining all standards regarding sanitation, uniforms, food preparation, and storage.
  • Responsible for all equipment cleaning and proper food storage.
  • Responsible for putting away all stock items in the walk-in cooler and dry storage.
  • Must label, date, and rotate all consumable products.
  • Notifies Executive Chef and Sous Chef of any expected shortages and/or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to upholding professional standards in the work environment.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary.
  • Treats people with respect; works with integrity and principles; upholds organizational values.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions ; uses equipment and materials properly.
