Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Fresno, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in Fresno, California. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization's payroll functions such as processing payroll, reviewing timesheets, and ensuring payroll compliance. The Payroll Administrator will also handle complex payroll transactions, manage government-related payroll programs, maintain payroll records, and execute departmental projects as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the payroll process, including overseeing the calculation and processing of employee pay and monitoring compliance with company policies and government regulations.

• Handle complex payroll transactions, such as processing special payments, withholdings, bonuses, calculating taxes and other deductions, and reconciling payroll accounts.

• Resolve any issues related to employee payroll, such as questions about paychecks or deductions, discrepancies in pay, or payroll errors.

• Provide guidance and training to payroll staff, ensuring that all payroll activities are performed accurately and on time.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures related to payroll.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee payroll information, tax forms, and other related documents.

• Prepare, process, and submit payroll reports to management and other stakeholders as needed.

• Use Microsoft Excel, Benefits Payroll, Payroll for 101-500 Employees, Payroll - Garnishments, and Paylocity to execute job responsibilities efficiently.

Note: This role does not require the use of any employment type terminology such as "permanent", "temporary", or "full-time". Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Experience in Benefits Payroll is essential.

• Familiarity with managing payroll for 101-500 employees is required.

• Knowledge of Payroll Garnishments is a necessity.

• Proficiency in using Paylocity is crucial.

• Ability to ensure accurate payroll processing and record keeping.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
