As a Financial Consultant, you’ll work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who are writing the history of our organization and guiding our success as a global industry leader. That’s a lot of responsibility but you will have the support and resources of a Fortune 5 industry leader behind you every step of the way. This position supports business functions for the growing OptumRx Specialty Pharmacy business. Specifically, this role supports the financial analytics of claim data, contract pricing engagement, financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, perform, and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures

  • Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance; and variances to plan, forecast and budget

  • Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies

  • Supports business leaders with analytical analysis to help drive decision making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in conjunction with P&L and business improvements

  • Administrative support of journal entries and recurring processes(month-end close and forecast)

  • Independent worker/take Initiative to resolve challenges that arise to drive results

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant financial analysis and strong analytic experience

  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Office product suite, and other technology tools

  • Proven excellent written and oral communication skills; strong executive presence

  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment while positively influencing other functional areas

  • Leading and presenting results and findings on cross functional calls with key stakeholders

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent

  • Hyperion SmartView and PeopleSoft experience

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
