Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Durham, Connecticut

Description

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Durham, Connecticut area. This role involves building solid customer relationships and providing efficient and high-quality service. Offering a contract to hire employment opportunity, this position is perfect for those with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate multiple computer systems. Responsibilities

• Receiving and sending business correspondence

• Actively cross-selling and referring customers to support business development and client referral goals

• Receiving and placing telephone calls to offer timely and accurate customer service

• Demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with internal and external partners, clients, and customers

• Navigating multiple computer systems, applications, and utilizing search tools to find information

• Managing and executing inbound and outbound calls

• Maintaining strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites and CRM systems

• Handling filing tasks and responsibilities

• Conducting extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries

• Leveraging strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Program skills.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Proven experience with CRM software to manage and analyze customer interactions and data

• Previous experience in a customer service role or similar position

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle inbound and outbound calls effectively

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage filing systems and maintain customer records accurately

• Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• High level of patience and empathy to deal with customer complaints or concerns

• Willingness to continually learn and adapt to new technologies or procedures related to customer service

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification; a degree in a related field would be advantageous.
