Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Assembles, prepares and packages surgical instruments and equipment, and processes using various methods of high/low temp sterilization and disinfection. Maintains quality control and biological monitoring systems for sterilization processes. Utilizes computer system for case cart stock supply, stock return, and electronic instrument management system.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and delivers case carts. Utilizes aseptic technique when handling and distributing sterile instruments and supplies

  • Decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical equipment

  • Prepares and wraps instrument sets for various methods of sterilization

  • Answers telephone, fills orders, issues and stocks supplies

Qualifications

Minimum:

Experience:

Completion of a surgical instrument technician program or 2 years surgical instrument experience

Education:

High School Diploma / GED

Licensure:

None

Pay Range

$15.56 - $21.40 /hour
