Responsibilities

In keeping with the Dignity Health core values is responsible for administering diagnostic and treatment programs designed to comprehensively evaluate and treat injured and disabled patients to restore maximum communicative function.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience with evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence and competence.

  • Current California State license in Speech Therapy (LIC SLP)

  • Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians, hospital departments and the general public.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of teaching and leadership skills including a proficiency for conceptual thinking, motivating, teaching principles and problem solving.

  • Demonstrates advanced working knowledge of the principles, standard practices, procedures and equipment utilized in the department.

  • Ability and willingness to actively participate in departmental and hospital programs.

  • Demonstrates self-motivation and ability to achieve results through good organizational skills and prioritization of work.

  • Knowledge and understanding of pertinent standards and regulations including DHS and The Joint Commission.

  • Ability to gather, comprehend and interpret data for Quality Improvement activities.

  • Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.

  • Ability to be mentor/coach student interns or oversee their clinical experience.

  • Ability to be flexible with caseload within any given day, as needed for the benefit of the department.

  • Promotes S.T. services in the community as appropriate.

Pay Range

$ 40.66 - $58.96/hour
