OurDirector of Store Experience leads store and field engagement, meetings, and events from defining the vision and strategy to leading execution across internal functions and external partners. The role is responsible for complete alignment between Stores Organization priorities and store leader and associate behaviors. The goal is to propagate critical content, ensure deep understanding, and energize our store teams to execute Burlington’s unique off-price model every day in every store. The right individual will be an expert in planning and cross-functional team leadership with experience in cross-functional planning, coordination, and facilitation of large-scale events (1,500 people).

A Day in the Life

  • Strategy : Create a strategy for enrolling, engaging, and energizing stores and field on company priorities through in-person and virtual events, publications, and other means. Lead the design from vision to individual event requirements, coordinating input from C/E level leaders and incorporating insights from stores and field. Develop an operating model for Burlington to deliver engagement productions consistently across Events, Communications, Learning & Development, HR, Marketing, Store Operations, and other functions.

  • Events : Lead program management to produce large-scale in-person and virtual events and programs end-to-end from content coordination to run-of-show the day of. Manage cross-functional planning process and related tools/technology, and lead meetings at both senior executive and working team levels. Collaborate with Events, Legal and Procurement to source vendors. Identify and resolve issues, garnering resources across the organization to deliver on event goals.

  • Recognition : Design and implement store and field recognition programs. Support associate engagement initiatives in partnership with HR and Field. Run contests and other tactics to create positive high energy and high-performance environment in stores and field.

  • Change Management : Lead activities to follow through on business, training, and other priorities from events. Partner with Store Ops, Communications, and Field to sustain behavioral changes by integrating event content into weekly and monthly store routines. Cascade communications across audiences and facilitate shared understanding across the organization.
    You Come With

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • MBA/M.S. preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in large-scale event production

  • Min 2 years of experience in retail

  • Functional background in operations, communications, HR, and Learning

  • Demonstrated problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills
