The Data Center Communities organization is looking for an Executive Assistant who wants to work in a fast-paced, exciting, and growing organization. We are looking for someone to support three Directors on our Data Center Systems and Automation team in Seattle, Virginia, or Bellevue.

Key job responsibilities

This Executive Assistant will be responsible for handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives. Role responsibilities include managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel. This candidate will be a trusted partner to help build a positive team environment, establish working relationships inside and outside of the group, and develop and maintain an inclusive organizational culture.

Key job responsibilities

Manage complex calendar and scheduling to support teams in multiple locations

Manage domestic and international travel

Manage expense report coordination and submission

Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, and team social events)

Ensure the timely completion of critical tasks and follow up on outstanding matters.

Act as a liaison for direct reports

Work closely with the leadership team, program managers, recruiting, and other Executive Assistants to provide support to the organization

Help to develop & maintain new mechanisms within the team

A day in the life

As an Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical activities including complex calendar management, tracking key deliverables, coordinating travel and expenses, and organizing team activities and events (such as all–hands meetings and employee engagement activities). Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating meeting agendas, space planning, and ad hoc project coordination. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to act as an extension of our leaders in partnership with a supportive and collaborative EA community.

The Data Center Systems and Automation team builds the foundation for the worlds innovation by providing software products and services that 1) accelerate delivery of data center capacity, 2) improve availability, safety, and security through operational excellence, and 3) reduce costs by enabling continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency. We also own programs that drive improvements in key performance metrics in these areas.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

  • 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

  • Experience with executive level calendar management

  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

  • Experience working with large global teams

Preferred Qualifications

    • 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience
    • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
    • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
    • Experience working with large global teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
