Serco Missile Production Analyst in Arlington, Virginia

Position Description

This is a high profile and challenging position supporting US Navy acquisition of Naval Weapon Systems. This great opportunity will allow you to take an important role in supporting U.S. Navy Weapon System production for our ships and sailors. Join an integrated government-industry team in Arlington, VA to provide technical expertise to the management of production material and processes for high tech systems. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your DoD Secret level Clearance.

Serco provides technical support to its customer, a defense acquisition program management office which is responsible for the development, acquisition, production, fielding, and lifetime support of surface ship systems. This junior-to-mid-level position has aspects of defense acquisition, production management, systems engineering, and other related skills. This position provides technical and administrative support in the areas of missile production, acquisition, finance, and contracts. It supports the government oversight of missile production, configuration management, and system engineering activities, and other production-related tasking to support the government Production Manager.

In this role you will:

  • Assist the government Production Manager in maintaining cognizance over production materials, processes, and technical issues.

  • Work with the prime contractor, government field activities, and the technical team in achieving production requirements and helping identify potential shortfalls.

  • Maintain production schedules. Oversee the transition of assigned development projects into production. Track production rates and quantities.

  • Support production-related technical reviews and panels.

  • Analyze technical requirements, acquisition documents, and systems engineering tasking to develop recommendations and report status.

  • Review, analyze, and recommend the implementation of improvements into the production process for the purpose of achieving the requirements at the lowest overall cost.

  • Coordinate with acquisition team to assist in technical review of statements of work, CDRLs, and other contract related actions.

  • Assist in maintaining the master schedule of production and sustainment test equipment and upgrade plans and ensure alignment between acquisition programs.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of experience in Defense Acquisition, Naval Weapon Systems, Acquisition program office, military operations, or related industry experience.

  • An active DoD Secret security clearance is required.

  • Excellent organizational, internal team communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • A self-starter. Someone willing to receive guidance and run with it. Help is always available to keep you pointed in the right direction.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

  • Experience with MS Office 365 collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Teams, and familiarity with data visualization tools.

  • The ability to travel 10- 25% of the time.

Additional desired experience and skills to make you really stand out:

  • A Bachelor's degree in technical discipline desired.

  • Experience in missile systems desired. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
